Special Recognition for Special Members

Sharon J.

We are proud of the special recognition given to Sharon J. for her service as our Vision Screening Group Coordinator. Prevent Blindness Wisconsin has recognized Sharon for her dedication as a vision screener and a coordinator. Sharon has been a screener for many years and schedules members to conduct the vision screening for 3-5 year olds at the daycare centers and schools in Menomonee Falls each Fall and Spring. We have screened thousands of children over the years and Sharon feels strongly about its importance. Sharon and two of her grandchildren were diagnosed with serious eye issues at a young age. She definitely feels even saving one child’s sight each year is worth the hard work!

Vikki Schmidt

The Greater Menomonee Falls Foundation awarded member Vikki Schmidt with their "Shining Star" recognition for her work with Community League, Menomonee Falls Historical Society and Children's Community Center. Vikki has donated many of her beautiful handmade quilts, knit and crocheted items to several of our charities. Vikki is glad to be part of the community and enjoys her efforts to give of her time and talent.

Serving the community

Even though we could not meet during the early time of COVID, Community League has found ways to serve. Members collected and delivered yummy snacks to the Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital staff.

We also had several weeks of drive by’s for the special needs guys at Hartfel House to wave, beep and give some cheer while they were under strict guidelines to remain at home.

Easter Delivery

Easter Baskets for our needy families will be delivered again this year!
